The Viking Hotel is situated in a unique position, being midway between the main Flamborough Village and its popular North Landing. The village itself is a mere ten-minute walk away, and in the opposite direction, the North Landing, with its sheltered beach, can be reached in less time still.

The caves of the tiny harbour can be visited during low tide and the beach is a suntrap in good weather. Above there is a cliff-top cafe and bar, and stretching out along the cliffs are some fantastic walks.

It is not too far to walk to Thornwick Bay, where there is also a cafe, and in the other direction those who wish can walk to the famous Flamborough Lighthouse, again with restaurant. For the more intrepid walkers who wish to go further, the cliff walks go on to Danes Dyke, Sewerby and ultimately, Bridlington.

Also a five minute walk away is North Landing, with its sheltered beach.

Along all of the walks, thousands of birds of many descriptions can be seen on the cliff faces. Just a ten-minute drive from the Viking is the famous bird sanctuary at the village of Bempton.

Whether you are holidaying with the family or just the two of you, the Viking Hotel is a fantastic base, within easy reach of almost any type of amenity. There are fantastic views all around and the hotel includes a pool room and family room, as well as the karaoke lounge.
